245/75-16 Definitely needed the pinch weld folded down/ trimmed. (i folded mine down with the help of a small sledge) and the bottom corners of the plastic bumper piece needed a slight haircut. No idea about the spare, i don't go anywhere that the Triple A guy couldn't get to lol

This was for Falken Wildpeak A/T's. I've heard that a less aggressive tread may not need trimming, but without trimming, i do think they would eventually rub somewhere (driveways, bumps etc..)

Just to add.
I have the 245/75 ltx tires. Made no mods but it does slightly rub at full lock (even after slight trimming of the mudguard and a little hammer work on the pinch weld).

In getting bigger tires I tried to match the section of the original tires to maintain flotation in sand. The section for this tire is 7.5", the stock tire is 7.9".

My spare is lowered about 1" due to water tanks. It fits (very closely) if it is pulled back as far as possible when raised.

It seems there is some body variation since others report more significant issues.

T350 148"

I have LT225/75R16, no problems with rubbing even at extream turns or angles. Only problem is speedometer error which you will experiance with any tire change due to the diameter of the tires on the stock rims. More than likely you will be going faster than the speedometer indicates, and your odometer readings will be different.

Was there ever a consensus on SWB/LWB/EXT spare mount space? I know my LWB has a heatshield that the spare is tucked up against that I noticed the EXT does not have.

Thanks for making the thread Surly Bill! I will use it for wheel well info but I think I will have to do my own measurements for the spare before I start shopping!

(Oh and I should probably wait for my check to come in the mail too... pesky government shutdown...)

I just got the 255/70R16 at Discount Tire. To my surprise, the spare tire mount can accommodate this size wheel at full 70 PSI. I was surprised, pleasantly.

I just bought 5 Michelin LTX A/T2 245/75R16:

Didn't actually drive them, b/c I have my Nokian WRC3 225/75 on right now. I need to take off my Weathertech front mudflaps. I also have the Foes 2" lift coming. Hoping the Michelins won't require any mods after the lift.

Full size spare needed to be deflated to fit underneath. Also, make sure you can lift your spare all the way up, so there's no exposed cable. I had my first spare wheel stolen b/c someone cut the cable (think the spare was mounted upside down).

w/o mudflaps. Anyone need any front mudflaps?

Just tried the BFG K/O2's 255/70/16 on my 2018 148" HR 350ext, they weren't even close on fit? Rubbed on front bumper and pinch weld with the wheel straight, didn't even bother trying to turn the steering wheel to see if they'd hit, strange how this tire fits for some. Gonna try 225/75/16's, lose a bit of my load rating, but still sit at 10000lbs at 80psi.

All of the above fits should be qualified by which length vans.
Is there a wheel well size difference between the 148 and 130?
As far as I know, it's the same for 130, 148 and 148el.
It's possible the 150, 250 and 350 could have different suspension height, but that would not affect what size tire fits; the tight spots are fore and aft, not above.

BFG K02 in 245/75r16 on Ultra 450SB wheels rub front pinch weld a lot. Pinch weld has to be folded or cut off. I did just that and they are fine now. 2019 T250 HR 148".
