Time for some wood. The beginning of my lower bunk and the rear pocket door bulkhead. Lower bunk will extend out into a "full" somewhat size. OK, maybe a extra wide twin. LOL.

Little did I know there would be tons of wood to come.

Also in the picture is a 24x32 shower pan and the Air Head urine diverting toilet.

Time to install the rear shower wall. The vent for the air head toilet was moved up and out the roof after it's first test week camping. This area is also the changing room, my daughter and I use the van primarily so it's nice to have that private area with the pocket door. That is why the board is covering the shower pan, to stand easier when changing or using the head.

Upper galley cabinets are in and the removable upper bunk. My adult daughter is 4'-11" and fits there just fine.

The soap disk for her phone and glasses was removed as it hindered her turning in the night. I later installed a small pucket below the forward driver side upper cabinet to hold her phone and glasses.

The 24" TV is on a extending arm and fits nicely above the galley.

The outside of van needed graphics or something. Add trees and animals to both sides. I love it.

The outside porch lights really light up the darkness without being overly bright. They are on a dimmer for even lower lighting. I installed two LED's on each side.

Thought you said you were Not building a camper van.
I guess you meant you wanted a full length bed instead of the much more popular shoe horned in east/west Garage/bed. Looks good!

Me too, A 60"x80" bed for that 1980s Custom van look.

Don't remember denying building a camper van :)

I can see the benefit of a single garage/bed for a bunch of people. That style just didn't work for my needs/wants.

I looked at youtube videos forever looking for ideas. Never found exactly what i needed. My build did take 10 months of weekends. I can't say it's 100% done. Always improving it as I go.

Nice work on the van.

Do you have some details on those porch lights?
Thank you.

These are the porch lights I installed. I selected the black 12 LED version, plenty bright for camping. I would say a dimmer is required for an even softer glow.

12v dual slider LED dimmer. I use one slider for interior lights and the other slider for exterior lights.
