No, I've not tried it myself since I don't mind the TPMS being enabled. It is possible there is another parameter interfering.
You can also set the target pressures (placard) to something else.
Yes, I saw about the placard, which I was able to change since I like my front tires a little higher than just 52psi (too squatty and sluggish, and tires wear out on the edges, leaving too much tread left over in the center).

And you may be right about another parameter interfering. I believe I saw that user Boboxx mentioned it might work in "Central Configuration (Main)", rather than "BdyCM Module Configuration":

But I have to go through loading the Secondary Boot Loader (SBL) first...and those warnings don't sound very fun: "This is not safe...if you don't have a full battery, this will brick your van"...or something along those lines :)

@Boboxx can you confirm if setting this to "Without monitoring system" did in fact completely turn off all TPMS warnings?

(btw, background info: I've been getting a TPMS sensor fault ever since I put new tires on: Right Rear giving me a B124D -- warning comes and goes because, watching the sensors all report, this one only sends a signal at long intervals rather than continuous. Signal sent, error goes away....taking too long for next signal, error comes back. I'm guessing battery getting low in the sensor and that this wheel must have been in front before the tire change (i.e. closer to the receiver). But now that it's in the rear, weak battery/signal can't reach this far anymore. So I'd rather just turn the whole system off. Never liked TPMS anyway...on any of my vehicles.)

Sounds frustrating. Have you tried retraining the TPMS locations? In Forscan, there is an option for that in Service Procedures on the left - easier than the key on/off or whatever the manual calls for.

Once you pass by the secondary bootloader warning the first time, you won't worry about it. Seems like fake news to me, lol

Yes, retrained the TPMS locations on it twice; Right Rear still eventually throws the error again. But, for me, TPMS has always been more frustrating (and expensive) than helpful. I'd rather just get the whole system turned off than have to deal with (and pay for) replacing sensors + labor + remount + balance...every so many years just to keep the alerts off my dashboard. I miss the old days when people were smart enough to think and observe: look of the tires (squattyness), pulling to one side while driving, and what your air gauge tells you. I hate how so many things have to be made inconveniently "idiot proof" (don't get me started on gas cans...). I guess you could say I'm opposed to TPMS as a matter of principle, LOL!

And thanks for the note about the SBL: glad to hear it's not going to be nearly as scary as they make it sound!

Don’t worry about the SBL, problems with that seem pretty rare.
Changing a TPMS sensor is pretty easy and I’ve done it with a harbor freight bead breaker or I’ve seen others break the outside bead with 2x4 in a lever action. If you only break the one bead and replace the TPMS sensor rebalancing isn’t needed

Hello all, I am new to the forum and Forscan. Bought a 2020 T250 3.5 148 MR cargo van and I am in the process of converting it to a camper. My issue is I get the Central Configuration to come up in Forscan. I am using 2.3.38 beta and this OBD2 USB Adapter: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MQ8GHG3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It has MS and HS switch and I am able to connect and perform changes, but I would like to have the CC to access additional changes. I have uninstalled and installed the USB drivers. Thanks in advance for any and all help!

Not sure what you are asking but it looks like you might need an extended license, FORScan extended license link but I dont think it will work because you need to log in first. If thats the case just google "forscan extended license"

Sorry for all the rambling on! I cannot get the Central Configuration tab to come up (or even see it) in Forscan. I purchased the 1 year extended license and just checked and verified it, Forscan says Extended license, valid until 2022-01-30.

I disabled the TPMS in FORScan. It only took one try. I'm still thinking about enabling and charging the placard numbers.

I believe that on the 2020 the nomenclature has changed, previous years do not have BCMii Module Configuration as an option.
It seems similar to the previous BdyCM Central Configuration.

I'm intrigued by the simple Power Point Timeout setting that you can use. there are always people asking about that.

Yea, I do not see any Central Configuration so I am thinking my 2020 does not have a tab for that. I am checking to see if the power point time out is tied to the radio and WiFi hot spot, that is why is says 2 minutes. The default was 30 minutes which is the default time out for my WiFi.

I stumbled over AsBuilt Hacker Windows Software this morning.

I got as far as loading the Ford As Built file for a 2020MY I had previously downloaded from Etis and letting it display the module options. This may allow folks that want to look into other model years and vehicles with different module configurations.

I won't go into details, but the general drift is to snag a VIN#, window sticker and the Etis Ford As Built file (".AB) and then scoot down the rabbit hole .... ;-]

This is to augment the thread started last year about as-built data.
I've dug around in the Central Configuration settings and found a variety of useful changes we can make with FORSCan, that will be posted here all together. If you have some too, please add them.

Note: some of the parameters available are different depending on the model year, and @sportcoupe recently discovered that some were expanded with the latest software version, which led to finally being able to adjust the speedometer.

Newbie here, trying to get my wifes van to power fold the short arm mirrors using Forscan. Van originally came with long arm power/heated. All wiring (8 pin) is there and I installed the correct switch. Playing around with Forscan and cannot seem to find the mirror options. Anyone know how to do this? I tried going to the BCM main and when it displayed the warning message I canceled because I did not have internet connection. Wipers cycled and horn honked and kind of freaked me out. I don't want to screw anything up. Any advice you can give would be apprectiated!

Yes, some of those warnings can freak you out.
First, do some saving of your configurations so you have a way of setting things back to the way they were. Then go ahead and click through the warnings.
Search for mirrors and you should be able to find this . Be sure that you are in engineering mode.

How do you enter engineering mode? When I searched for mirrors I was not able to find them but maybe I was in the wrong screen? Which tab do you use for changes?

Try the drop-down box and select Engineering 2, that opens more parameters.

Just started with my FORscan. Got the DRL, changed TPMS pressures. Changed my Battery Saver Time to 60 minutes...

WRT stereo, the 60 commences after manually turning on the stereo, with ignition off. Good for a parked listening session, and no longer getting up every 30 minutes to turn it back on. I'm not yet sure if this 60 minutes applies to 12v sockets.

NOW, let's talk about live stereo / power windows (and 12v sockets?) after you park, and turn off the ignition. I think it's always been 10 minutes, and, the above Battery Saver change did not affect this. So, if I'm listening to music after parking, I still have to get up after 10 minutes, before I then get a full 60 minutes of music... is this do-able, or, possibly undesirable?

I did it a while ago but I replaced the headlight switch with one that has automatic headlights as a position 4 option. I also added the light sensor/rain sensor to the windshield so th automatic headlights actually worked then activated the automatic headlights with forscan.
I then was able to activated the rain sensing wipers since it uses the same sensors and it now works too. I wasn’t sure if the rain sensing wipers would work because the wiper stalk shows 2 different part numbers depending if it comes with automatic wipers or not but I think the only difference is the writing on the outside of the switch.

So if you have automatic headlights I think you can activate rain sensing wipers without any additional parts.

@dinocarsfast - good job, yet the dealer would probably tell you that none of that can be done, lol :geek:

I went to the Ford site and tried to download by as built file. I now cant open it at all. In what format does it need to be saved in to have this original file as a backup?

The Etis Ford As Built download file should be your VIN with the ".AB" file extension. That would be the file to have on hand for FORscan along with the individual module backups done in FORscan .... just in case you brick something.

If you want to see what's in the file, make a copy of it, change file's extension on the copied file from ".AB" to ".XML and you should be able to view it in most web browsers.
