The Etis Ford As Built download file should be your VIN with the ".AB" file extension. That would be the file to have on hand for FORscan along with the individual module backups done in FORscan .... just in case you brick something.

If you want to see what's in the file, make a copy of it, change file's extension on the copied file from ".AB" to ".XML and you should be able to view it in most web browsers.
Thank you, was able to look at all them numbers, not clear what they all are, but at least can view them.

wondering if anyone has used forscan to change folding power mirrors to automatically open/close with key fob unlock/lock. If so what are the setting changes?

This would be awesome, I don’t know that it is part of included features though.

As Vaughn noted don't think its possible, watched video of guy doing for his pickup but he had both drivers and passenger control modules, looks like the transit doesn't have them, darn was looking forward to getting them set up

So I'm playing around trying to get rid of all the annoying chimes, and I can't get rid of the one that goes off when you put the key in and start it. It is easily the most useless chime, alerting me that I started it? warning it turned on? irrelevant stupid noise.
Anyway I can't figure out what it's called or if it's even an option to disable.

i have a ford edge and i've used forscan to modify a lot of settings to suit my needs.

1 - Turn signal flashes 3 times when you tap the lever (not fully engage it). i've adjusted this to flash 7 times on my Edge. i'd like to do the same on the Transit but can't find the module.

2 - On my edge, the car would double honk when you get out with the key in your pocket and close the door. very annoying. i eliminated this "feature" with forscan in the edge. i haven't checked to see if the Transit does this yet but thought i'd mention it here.

3 - Secure Idle (AKA Police Mode). when i get out of the edge with the key in my pocket, the transmission dial cannot be moved out of "P" meaning that nobody can hop in a drive away.

there are many many more features that can be enabled and disabled. i just enabled the perimeter alarm even though it was not included on the build sheet or window sticker.

Yes, the Transit does this by default and it can be disabled in Forscan.

would you happen to know where that setting is? there are so many. it would save me a bit of time

i have looked and looked for the setting for the number of turn signal flashes but i can't find it anywhere.

by chance would you know of a good source of codes for the transit? i can't seem to find a source.

thanks

It appears that you have some settings accessible in the menu related to the chimes. My manual says I should have these options in the menu, but I don’t. Do you mind sharing your as built data for the IPC? it might help narrow down what settings actually enable this. I would love to turn those things off. Thanks!

If I have time I'll have to use FORScan to check this. I have the stock IPC file but it does not look like I can look at it unless I'm connected.

You also might want to list your van model on your signature. My van is a 2020 non-ecoboost so yours may be different.

I have a tiny fraction of the settings you show in the menu in my instrument panel. Is it possible that since the previous owner replaced the head unit with an aftermarket unit, that might remove some of the features? I have no idea how closely coupled this stuff is to Sync and the head unit itself.

Added signature. Hopefully I got it right.

Can anyone tell my why I no longer am able to find the engineering mode option for my 2020 T250? I used to be able to access it, now it is not even an option anywhere I can find. Latest version Forscan with paid extended license

Is this thread still active? I am also wondering how to access the engineering mode on my 2022 T250. This option seems to be absent? Using Forscan version 2.3.60.

I am pretty sure that Engineering Mode became non applicable in 2020 and later model transits.....maybe '21.
ie: If you are using ForScan on a 21+ model Transit you will not have Engineering Mode

So does that mean I cannot activate my trailer control module? Or do I simply need to change the hexadecimal values in the as built data?

Oh boy.......that Trailer/Towing wormhole is a deep one for 2021+ models. I've followed along that topic a bit for years. Do not take what I say as Gospel, rather it is my well intentioned recollection from casually following along for a few years.
There is one thread on here that is head and shoulders above all the rest, the writer was successful and documented the whole sequence pretty well IIRC. Search on Google rather than the search tool on this Forum's site. The results Google provide will most surely be threads from this site. The search function on FTUSA and all Vertical Scope Forums is lame.
You might want to throw in some new keywords: Trailer Hitch, Brake Controller, Towing Package.......etc. But do it on GOOGLE!

I know there are some who have achieved it DIY/Forscan. I know there are dealerships that could not achieve it, and even go as far as to incorrectly state that it cant be done. And then there are those who quit trying........
Here is what I can say in response to your asking: For sure you can add/activate a Module. I do not think that you have to do a Hex programming to achieve that. But am pretty sure that you have to make checkbox/write changes in several other modules first (PCM, TCM, BCM) and then do a "Relearn" and key-cycle before you might see the trailer module available in plain English for programming. Good Luck

Ok. I appreciate that info. I've got a family member that is fairly knowledgeable with forscan and very good with programming and computers in general. If it's only a matter of comparing and matching as built data that will be easy for him to figure out.
