Since my new floor is 2 1/8" thick so I could not use the Ford step cover.

Bought some 3/8" thick black rubber belting and cut it to fit the step tread. Did not use any fasteners and have had no problem with it moving. For the riser (or the vertical wall) between the rubber covered step and the top edge of the finished floor, I had a piece of 14 ga. SS laser cut to fit the dimensions required. The new floor has a 80/20 extrusion edge with a slot facing out toward the slider door. So SS will bolt to the 80/20 slot along the top edge. Have not installed the SS yet. It will have 1/2" of closed cell foam insulation behind it.

I would to see pictures of this Orton. You are so inspiring.

The 14 ga. SS parts have been cut and formed and are at the welders. As soon as his workload allows he will weld up the tanks (3) and I will pick up the flat step riser part. Will take a picture when I get it installed. Been using the 3/8" rubber step cover for about 6 months.
