I got a Steering Assist Fault recently, lost power steering. I saved the DTC codes, then brought to dealer. Some of the codes seemed innocuous like a lose harness or faulty torque sensor (C200B:49 and U3000:61), and this first occurred right after getting my windows tinted, so they may have tugged a harness loose or shorted something.
But this one (U2016:47) appears to have a manufacturer communication about it for 2020 Transits, so it's a known issue. Apparently Transit Connects also had a lot of steering assist fault issues, but this is the first I've heard about it being applicable to 2020 Transits too. Hope you don't get it. Mine may be stuck at the dealer for weeks due to covid, back-order parts, etc:

Thankfully I still have my old trusty SUV that's never let me down, and I need a break from the non-stop van build anyways, so I guess I got one. I'd rather have taken that break in the new van, but that's life. I think next week I'm going to hike out into the middle of nowhere with good ole low-tech camping gear.
Cheers.
Here's what's in that link above in-case it gets stale someday (also see attached pdf they put out):
