It’s the Truma Combi 4 Eco. My understanding is that this is the smallest of the three options available. Trumaheaters.com (now UndermountAC.com) states that this is the same as the European Combi 4.

I will email you pictures.
Dear Nick,
Very unfortunately, this is the smaller TRUMA, not recommended for a 20 feet RV. Too bad .... Thank you very much for offering the heater to me.
Best regards,
Okin

We have a Truma Combi 4 in our 130 build and cannot imagine it would not heat a larger unit just fine. Goes from a cold van to very warm in a matter of a few minutes and then runs on low to kept us warm and this is when it is 30 degrees outside. It is able to put out a lot more heat than we will ever use and we like it warm inside.

Some Truma Heaters can be use in ELEKTRIC mode too; using an 110 / 230 V outlet. This is true for the "Plus" models and the "e" Model.
I am looking for a model which uses Butan / Propane and Electricity for heating. The Combi 4 can not do that.
Truma US says: "Control your Combi eco easily via a digital control unit, where you can set any desired temperature. The time-tested Combi furnace is also available with integrated electric heating elements in the Combi eco plus and Combi comfort plus version with extra power."

Finally installed the Truma. It's nice to have heat on these 25 deg mornings ! Currently running it on A/C as the propane setup isn't completed. These are a VERY slick piece of equipment.
A question for those who are running on propane. What is the usage for just hot water ? No showers, just washing dishes and general daily clean up. Maybe 3-5 gals. a day.
Thanks
Dave

I don't have a solid answer for you Dave but it would not be much at all. We just did a 4 1/2 week trip, a few nights using heat but the hot water was used for about 2 1/2 weeks and we only used 3 gallons or so of propane in total. I did turn the water heater on in the morning, off during the day, on in the evening and off again at bedtime. A couple of the heating nights it got down in the 20's. Great heater!

Truma has finally been totally installed. A very nice piece of equipment, and an easy installation. I don't understand why they don't want to sell to DIYers.

Could you post a picture of the exhaust intake vent on the side of the van? I think the reason they don't sell to the DIYers is because the USA distributor has a exclusive deal with Truma.

Sorry I didn't reply, I'm on the road. Mine looks like everyone else's except farther forward.

I remember seeing a freeze report when these were tested. The Stainless tank is VERY tough. Usually the small pex lines and hot cold/fittings break off along with any plastics outside of the system that get brittle when cold.
I hope you got lucky, but if you did not we will get you fixed up. I have a new tank here sitting on my shelf with your name on it if you need it.

Resurrecting the zombie thread because...wait for it...I just got back from holiday travel to a frozen water system (including a Truma Combi 4 system). Just built the van about a year ago, so it's my first experience of the weather turning cold...gonna have to remember to winterize it next year along with all the house stuff!

So, after running the heater for a while to get everything thawed, I can pressurize the system, close the faucet, and the pump doesn't cycle. I was also able to heat up a tank of hot water, and I don't see any leaks anywhere. I think I escaped disaster? It was only frozen 48 hours, and didn't thaw out in that interval. (Shout out to the SensorPush thermometer/hygrometer monitoring it!)

Still thawing the dump valve on my freshwater tank, but once I do, I'll get the whole thing drained and ready for the rest of the cold weather...

Where do you buy truma heater in canada, i am planing to buy one from france but if i can buy one in canada that would be easer.
I am looking for the vario heat

This is my first post and hope to be able to contribute a little to the forum.
I too just received a Truma Combi Eco from Canada yesterday. This will be my second Truma installation and my second van build. Last winter I installed a Truma Combi in our Taxa Cricket Pop-up trailer and it is by far and away the best heating unit I have owned in my 45+ years of being around and repairing different RV's. It is easy to install, sips propane and is very quiet. There is some noise on a cold start but not much and sure a lot quieter on start-up than the Espar D2 heater in the Promaster I built. I had originally planed on another D2 and no propane in the Transit I am just starting to build, but after using the Truma for a year in the trailer there was no going back. We camped next to some friends who were sleeping in a tent about 60 feet away from us last month and they did not hear it running at all.
Heats water fast, heats camper fast, is able to do either or both and is quiet. A real winner! I am a light sleeper and I did not wake up at night because of the Truma cycling.
Cons: I have to cut a 4" hole in the side of my new van for the exhaust/intake.
Hi!
I just bought a Truma Heater only no hot water combo. Any advice installing it? Thanks!

It looks like Truma is offering Truma Heaters and Truma Combi units again in the US from their Elkhart, Indiana Corporate Office. They require a certified dealer for the installation and have mobile technicians for service. They even have a dealer here in Phoenix now (LaMesa RV). Check out the Truma website.(RV Water Heaters & Furnaces | Truma North America).
They are not a DYI friendly company, but they manufacture a superb product.
We’ve been very happy with our Truma Combi Eco Plus installed by Sportsmobile West, now Field Vans, in 2020.
