Any reason I could not mount your winch mount without a winch?
I want the tow hooks, and I prefer to use a portable winch which can be used bow or stern.
I assume that is a 2" receiver?

You could mount it without a winch and use the 2" receiver for a removal winch.

We will be exploring those options when the prototype part come in from laser cutting.

Our winch mount / front receiver bumper is complete. Images of our prototype unit shown. The bumper is attached very well to the van. The are two channels that tie the bumper into the engine cross member and a factory hole on the frame rail. An optional skid plate is in the works that attaches to the bumper.

Now those are serious tow hooks! (And very solid mounting)
Obvious thought went into the design of this entire structure.
How much does the whole thing weigh?
What is the projected cost?

I second the request for projected cost. Does this require modifying the frame?

Awhile back I read up on installing your tow hooks so I'm wondering if it's similar.

Yes, it would not take much to add a modest bull bar to this.
I would go for that, as long as it doesn't look like the front end of a steam era locomotive!

Right, that is sort of what I was referring to.
By the way, I love the old steam locomotives - I just don't want one on the front of my Transit!

We already manufacture the tow hooks for those that are just looking for a hook. We added one to each side because we could. The receiver hitch will also serve as a great tow point for recovery.

The entire unit without the tow hooks weights about 65lbs.

We need to get the production run qtys quoted, but it should be under $1000. Probably similar price as our Sprinter unit that comes in at $900.

You need to cut a tab off the frame horn for the bumper to connect back to the engine cross member and frame.

Cost should be around $900 for the unit.
