The answer to both questions is yes. There is a 12 volt spot under the hood. It's the place where you jump start the van.

 

This has been discussed endlessly on this forum so you could search the forum for answers, Or look in the Owners Manual where this is explained too.

There is a 535 Amp Fuse between the Jump Off Stud and the batteries, The starter and engine are also on this circuit. I do not know how many Amps you plan to use so a direct connection to the under drivers seat batteries may be better, Forum search CCP. (Customer Connection Point)

If your Transit has up fitter switches, the earlier models have a up fitter connection point under the hood, so that holes didn't have to be drilled in fire wall.

Can you recommend a good weather pack plug kit to use on the other side of the connector?

 

Thanks ..it is a 2017..It seems there is a red cap covered post near the fuse box that is used along with a metal post on the hood hinge. This is what I gather from the internet. Hope that is correct if I need it. Thanks all for the replies.
