Transit 250 Torque to Yield hub bolt torque

I have a 2018 Transit 250, standard wheel base-low roof and am in the process of replacing the rear brakes. Doing the pads and rotors. So I've looked around at the torque specs on the Torque to Yield bolts securing the rear drive shaft and find some confusing data! Yes, I am replacing the bolts and axle seal.

So what I'm seeing are two different specs. One is 22ft-lbs and 90°. And the other is 39ft-lbs and 70°. My guess is they probable both end up with similar ultimate torque (depending on thread pitch). But does someone have the actual spec?

Thanks in advance for any help here...

It should be in here.

Reviving this thread.

I'm seeing 3 different torque to yield specs for the rear axle to hub bolts. There is the 50lbft + 90 deg pf rotation referenced here, and also 25lbft + 90 deg and 35lbft + 70 deg mentioned by Ford service mechanics in their YouTube "how tos".

2 weeks ago I was told 25lbft +90deg by the service rep when I picked up a set for my Eton True track build.

Comparing these: 25lbft + 90deg and 35lbft + 70 degrees are likely to give the same or very similar final residual loading. However, 50lbft + 90deg will likely result in more than double the force and a much higher level of plastic yield in the fastener.

What's more confusing is that I was able to get the specs for an F250 which uses 6 of the same fasteners (rather than the Transit's 5) in the same location - these are also 25lbft + 90 deg.

Overall, a specification of 50lbft + 90deg is a pretty noticeable outlier.

What did you land with? I just had a brake job done, and did not replace a single bolt. I am going to go back and have them replace the bolts, freaked out my axel will float off otherwise :) I am hoping to have some good specs of what exactly to have them do when I get there. (not sure how big of a job it is just to replace the bolts?)

Did you replace the caliper bolts too?
