plastic plugs and holes into/out of van

In another thread (on racks) the OP trimmed roof rails in order not to:

....cover the plastic caps on the roof in the rear of the van. These rear caps don't have threaded inserts in them and are just ports into the van.

I *think* I have a seen another post referring to plastic caps/plugs in the van floor or pillars that give outside access from the van interior -- suitable for threading an extension cord or a drain hose. But of course I cannot find that discussion.

Are these really plugs for fatory-drilled holes into/out of the van? If so, where would I find a description of their locations (BEMM)? I don't have my van yet, so I can't just go hunting for plastic plugs.

They have peaked my interest for possible use in a solar setup (wires into van), passing a 120V extension cord out of the van attached to a 120V outlet in the van, and a drain hose for an ice chest. I'd always rather use holes that Ford drilled.

Thanks.

Right, yes Dave -- that's the thread I found long ago about using an extension cord through an existing hole, thanks:

Used an existing hole under the van into the pillar. Removed the rubber plug and installed a rubber grommet in that hole.

As noted above, the search capability on this forum is, uhm, challenging.

So, we have established that there are existing holes into the van, both in the roof and underneath, that are stopped with plastic/rubber plugs. My question stands: is there a diagram or resource (BEMM?) that shows the location of all of these rubber/plastic plugged holes? Such a diagram would make planning much easier.

Also, where can I find a PDF of the BEMM for a 2017 cargo van?

Thanks!
