I just recently joined this forum since I was looking for a van. Now I know that at times I can be a PIA to deal with. But I kept searching and reading comments about where to get a van or how difficult they are to get. But one name kept popping up and that was “CrewVanMan.” The talent behind that name is a guy named Ed. So I contacted him and we exchanged emails for approximately 4 days. I knew what I wanted but I also knew that I wasn’t going to wait 6 months to get exactly what I wanted. There is a little give and take when we search for that near perfect vehicle. Well Ed has access to vans that have been pre-ordered as far back as September of 2023. They come with various options that you may or may not like. But here is what happened with me. Yesterday, 03-13-2024, Ed sent me another pre-order sheet that matched 90% of the options that I wanted. He also told me that it’s very possible that Ford will be scheduling this van for production very soon. So I went forward with the transaction and gave Ed’s assistant my deposit via the telephone and hoped for the best. Today, 03-14-2024 I receive an email from Ford Manufacturing that says my vehicle is scheduled to be built in April, and here is your VIN number. Do I feel lucky?
**** yes. But most of the credit has to go to Ed. So if you’re still looking for a new van, what have you got to lose, contact CrewVanMan. Thank you Ed.

Yep, that was my experience also. Some dealers have allocations and some don't but most won't tell you if they do or do not have the allocations. I had been waiting for like 20 months with a special order through my local dealer.
I ordered through Ed and I was driving my custom built van in like 12 weeks.
If you got your VIN, you might want to start checking with your insurance company.
I was flying to Kansas and finally got my insurance coverage confirmed only like 24 hours before the scheduled flight. Cutting that way too close plus there was a holiday involved so my fault
but the panic was avoidable if I had just started working on the insurance right after I got my VIN.
Happy Driving !
