From looking at the outside of the Transit, it looks like the side walls tilt inwards at the top, but less so than on the Sprinter. The body looks like it may be wider overall, as compared to the Sprinter. The roof looks wider than the Sprinter. Ford says it has about 5" additional headroom.

But I cannot find complete interior dimensions, for us to use to sketch out our build with.

Can anyone help me with those? Length, interior width(s), height, wheelhouse dimensions, etc.?

Instead of impatiently waiting for someone to do all the work for you, you might want to try the search function. I just searched in "Interior Dimensions" and got over 10 pages of hits. There isn't much that hasn't already been talked about with these vans, so if you are willing to search and do a little of the work yourself, you'll get a lot more information.

If you don't want to help, then don't. But criticizing me for asking a question serves no purpose.

I'm not very computer literate- I'm not finding the search function for this web site- only the google search box in the upper right hand corner. I've already done plenty of google searching and pored over Ford's web site as well, and I'm not finding the answer to my questions there either.

Take a chill pill. I was helping. I was showing you how to get information on anything Transit related without having to wait for other people to respond. There are two search boxes on this page. Both are powered by Google, which has a much better search function than this forum does. It is just like a Google search, but all results are limited to the contents of this forum only. I did a quick search and found several threads regarding interior dimensions, width of the interior at the floor, at the belt line, at the roofline.

Since you are computer illiterate, here's another tip. In Google if you want to search just this forum, put "site:fordtransitusaforum.com 'searchstring' in the Google web page search box. Replace 'searchstring' with whatever you are searching for, and don't use the single quotes.

Good luck!

Thanks. Found some good reading in the 2019 Transit BLBB (Body Builder Layout Book).

I found the interior cargo height, the length of the cargo area at the beltline, the width between the DRW wheelhouses, the loading height, the slider step height, and the sliding side door opening length.

Still looking for DRW wheelhouse width, length, and longitudinal position, the longitudinal positioning of the right-side slider, and any of the cargo area widths (at the floor, at the beltline, etc.).

But you got me pointed in the right direction. Thanks again. :)

Searching is an art. The more you practice the better you get at it. The search tools on this site don't always deliver the goods. You can use Google or Duckduckgo in a way to limit searches to within this site. A quick search will turn up instructions for how to do that and offer an opportunity to hone one's search skills further.

GapRunr was leading you to finding the answer. Oddly, and as a remarkable change of late, Ranxerox is the one providing links rather than imploring the new forum members asking the same questions over and over again to search and read first. Take that offering, he's pretty darn good at finding stuff.

For reference, I probably read and searched for several months before ever asking a question on this forum. When I do ask, I try to do so in a thread that already exists about the topic I was wanting more information about. (after reading through the entire thread first, to see if the answer was there already)

If you find this sort of advice derogatory or insulting that is a matter of choice on your part, rather than the intent of the folks answering your new thread about a topic that was most likely first raised in 2015 when the van was introduced.

Best wishes on your build and welcome to the forum.

The passenger vans have a built up floor to house ducting and the seat bases, and the headliner is also kind of thick. There's your 4.5" difference.
I think people say the passenger floor is 2.5" off the steel floor.

Probably meant DIY; which means Do It Yourself, and it is regarding using your own two hands and skills to fabricate something that might be purchased ready to use/install from a manufacturer.

Check out my github repo:
github.com/natecostello/van_two_point_oh/tree/master/arrangements
The model you probably want for dimensions is Transit_Dimensions_measured.skp

All the photos, and notes that the above model is based on can be found in this part of the repo:

Does anyone own a 2020 or 2021 Transit 350 High Roof Extended Length. I'm actually a dealer and one of my customers wants to know the length of the interior, actually between the middle seats. I would think the ford manual would only give the true cargo area (up to the seats). But really we'd like to know the distance between the Dash right under the radio all the way to the back with doors shut. He's wondering if he can fit a 16foot board in there
