Anyone know if the extended range 31 gallon fuel tank is an option for 2022 AWD 148 MR XLT Passenger van?

I couldn't find it in the Dealer Ordering Guide...

If it is an option, anyone know the option code?

I tried the search function but I couldn't find my answer.

Thanks everyone!

I suspect you also are not aware that ford motor company will not accept any more orders for a 2022 Van . If a dealer tells you he can order one for you he is not honest. He may have an order already in place that has cancelled but it will already be speced out . The order bank for fleet orders closed weeks ago and for Retail customers closed 2-11-2022.

He can as long as you have not been issued a VIN. A change will also take you to the bottom of the schedule pile if it is significant, due to commodity shortages. Getting a vin and therefore a build date means nothing can be changed. If you don't have a vin you also don't have a build date so you can change an option but the risk is high you could extend your wait time by months.

Scheduling involves thousands of information points, a lot more than what your build is. things like vendor supplier schedules , logistics bundling for finished vans, Just a myriad of things that we don't even think about. right now there are about 40,000 unscheduled units in the bank. so if it's that important to you and time or even a cancelation is ok , then do it. last year people waited for 9 or more months to get power door slides only to get cancelled. so the opposite is also true. You could have an item that prevents a build and you are better off if you need the van to delete it. But who knows.?

I totally agree . remember those guy that would buy a diesel pickup then put a 100 or more gallon tank in the bed. The engine increased the weight by 4 or 5 hundred pounds then 6 or 7 hundred for the tank and fuel. All in the name of economy? and least we forget the 4-5 thousand dollar premium it all cost. They were the darlings of the campgrounds.

Oh well, Everybody I knew owned a one ton pickup truck, Usually a dually. Fifth wheel campers we lived in almost year round, I retired from that life twenty years ago.
Sitting in my driveway is a 1974 Chevy C-10 pickup truck with a 350 V8 I have owned since it was brand new, a high school graduation present. Still runs but it has had a couple of new engines.
I have never owned a car and the Transit is my first van.
