We didn't realize when we ordered two of the Artic Tern 300 x 700 windows that the window only opens up to 35 degrees max. We installed one yesterday and I was disappointed in that aspect. You can pull the window open a little further but the arms don't click in that position to keep it open. (We wanted the larger window, but heard it was not a good idea due to the contour of the Transit walls. )
Anyone have any suggestions on modifying the window to open farther? Is it possible to replace the arms (not sure what the correct term is) for ones that will open & keep the window open in a more open position?
Also, we need a door stop on the sliding door track, as the window is installed in the back part of the van behind the sliding door. We were thinking of drilling a hole in the sliding door track and inserting a pin so it won't open all the way, in case we forget and open the door all the way with the window open. That wouldn't be good. Anyone have any better suggestions for this?
Thanks!
