AC/Heater Blower Resister Replacement

Does anybody have any experience replacing the blower resister that is behind the glove box? There is a screw that holds the resister in place that is very inaccessible. I bought some very low-profile mini ratchets, hoping I could get them in there, but it is very tricky to manipulate them with one hand and the very, very limited space, plus I risk dropping the screw, etc.

I could say more and share more info, before I do so, let me know if you are interested in the topic. I did a search for resister blower on the forum and did not see any previous threads. This topic is pretty well documented on the interweb, and is based on the fact that when the resister blows the blower will only operate on high.

Thanks,

Mike

Thanks, Ran, nice images.

Yep, that little screw in the left corner of the inset picture is the problem. There is not much room in there for a tool and a hand to manipulate it AND not let the screw drop.

Does the manual say anything about how to get at the screw?
