I recently bought a 2011 Ford Transit Connect XLT van with a bad transmission. I found a used 7K mile 4F27E transmission out of a 2011 Ford Focus SE Wagon. I installed this transmission with only a bracket change over from the old transmission. However, now I have a code indicating improper shift points. I have to assume that the transit has different gear ratio's and settings. Do I need to have the computer reprogramed or switch another part over from my old transmission to my new one? Any help is appreciated.

This forum does not cover the Transit Connect- it is for the full size Transit.
However in the Transit the valve body has a code that has to be programmed into the vehicle PCM- so for it a simple swap of transmissions won't work right.
Don't know if this is the case for the Connect but it would not surprise me if it was.
