Not resolved yet. Didn't do anything yet but did speak to a Ford service manager. He said to check also if one of the rear calipers stickers. If the right rear sticks, more then lightly an abs issue. He did not answer my question about still having the issue even though I pulled abs fuses

TRAVIS FROM REDLINE AUTOMOTIVE RICHMOND B.C., WANTED TO POST FIX FOR SAME PROBLEM , L/F AND R/R WHEEL SIEZING UP , OPEN BLEEDERS AND PRESSURE RELEASES , REPLACED CALIPERS AND MASTER CYLINDER WITH OEM MASTER , SAME PROBLEM . REPLACED ABS MODULE FROM FORD (HYDRULIC AND CONTROL MODULE COMPLETE), REMOVE BATTERY TRAY AND IS BEHIND , BLEED ALL AIR FROM SYSTEM AND REFILL , SNAP ON TRITON D-10 SCAN TOOL AND RECALIBRATE ABS PRESSURE SENSORS AND ALL GOOD NOW , VERY COMMON ON THESE VANS . HOPE THIS HELPS EVERY ONE.

One update, front left wheel sticking after pressing the break . Sticking for approx 5 seconds, then releases. Checked right rear when I jacked up car, also sticking for a few seconds,
Progressively getting worse now, slightly sticky all the time now,
No lights on dash.
Decided to take the hit and remove the abs pump and module out of the van and take to local abs shop for refurbishment. Took approx 1 hr to remove. Bit of a awkward job.
Will let you know the outcome when I get the abs pump and module back from the refurb shop.
It's a 2015 1.6 diesel connect.

Update.
2015 transit connect, 1.6 diesel.
Symptoms:
No abs lights on dash,All looks ok.
When I press the brake and release, front left brake sticks for an extra 5 seconds.
Rear right also sticking for 5 seconds.
Got to a stage where wheel was binding alot.
Went straight for abs pump removal because of both fl and rr sticking for 5 seconds
Removed abs pump. Took 1hr to remove.
Took the pump to a local ABS reconditioning shop.
Got a call from them to say it's fixed and ready for pickup. Fault was on the hydraulic side. A blockage and pitting they said. Cost 450euro for the work for reconditioning

Got it home and fitted which was harder than removal. Took about 2 hrs which included bleeding of all brakes with new brake fluid

Works perfect now. No binding. All good. Great to have it sorted. Disappointed I didn't get extra power. Thought the binding might have been holding it back but no.

Did anyone ever figure this out ?? Having the same issue on my 2019 Transit Connect. LF brake does not fully release wheel for several seconds AFTER brake application. Replaced OEM front brake pads, rotors, calipers and hoses. BG brake fluid flush and all the quick tips (master reset, pulled ABS fuse, etc). Anyone ever have this properly diagnosed ??
Yep. Ended up replacing the abs module. 3 k total bill. Destroyed rf brake pad and lr brake pad and rotor. Think this is a factory problem.

We've had several of these do the same thing. F/L & R/R will lock after bleeding brakes and pressing the pedal once they lock up again. It turned out that the ABS Module gets jammed up and needs to be replaced. Ran tests with scan tool and didn't fix issue had to replace part and have ford recalibrate it. Hope this helps
Same for me. 3k worth of work and c parts

Hi All. In the same position myself,2015 transit connect, 1.5 d manual front left brake sticks for a few seconds after release of pedal. Also notice when I'm driving along motor way and I suddenly remove my foot from accelerater the car starts to brake again on the left front. I have removed the abs 2 fuses and the car still does the same. Ideas???
Has removing the abs fuses ruled out the abs been a problem would you think?
I tryed the same like stuck 700 miles from home. Didn't work for me. Got hauled in a 3k later. ABS module replaced, plus pads and rotors it's fixed

Yes it is. Should be a factory recall on this problem.

Just wanted to add that same thing just happened to me. Van has 44k miles, front left and right rear were locking up. Have to have the module, calipers and pads replaced. Going to be about $3500. Guy at the shop told me it’s the third one this month they’ve had. Hopefully a recall is on the way.
