I added this option but it is not working. Would putting in a usb charger to a iphone tripped this. I bought this thinking I could run to usb chargers for my kids phones while in the crew seat.

Any easy way to upgrade this if it is already installed?

Thanks

Normally if it is overloaded it just shuts down and the LED flashes, and a USB charger should not overload it. The owner's manual should list any fuses or relays associated with the inverter. The unit itself is located under the brake handle at the rear.

For USB charging, you can easily replace one of the 12v outlets with USB ports.

I plugged my laptop into the 110V 150W inverter and it seemed like the receptacle wasn't working so I tested it.

90V engine on; 96V engine off/key on. That's 82 to 87% of outlet rating. It's a lot lower than the 114-126V range for a normal home receptacle. Our Toyota Highlander 120V inverter provides 113V with engine on and zero engine off/key on.

My laptop charger calls for 100V-240V input. Obviously am concerned about damaging it not to mention that it didn't even seem to register that it was plugged in.

If anybody with the 2020 service manual can see what the inverter output is supposed to be it would give me a baseline when I ask the service department to look at it.
