According to the Ford Wrecker guide the Transit can only be towed 50MPH max with rear wheels raised, so no flat towing. If rear wheels are turning they have to be on a dolly.
Actually the F150 is the same except for certain 4x4 versions, not all. There is a crazy process to make even the one version do it- key on, holding the brake, selecting 4H to 4L and back 5 times in 7 seconds etc then looking for a message...
Of course there is always the option of pulling the driveshaft...I've done that on a Ranger I flat towed 400+ miles.
