Ford and Galpin joined up to provide Surfers Healing (a group that uses surfing to engage autistic children) with a new Woody Transit.
But its not a real woody...
But its not a real woody...
Pretty though...The overhaul was actually quite simple—look closely, and you’ll notice that the “wood” on the Transit’s body sides is more ’80s Ford LTD wagon than ’50s Ford Country Squire. In fact, everything not painted white is actually a vinyl wrap, including the light and dark “wood” and even the green “paint.” We don’t really care, because the Surfers Healing rig looks awesome, and the color scheme is just about perfect. It would have been cool if Galpin Auto Sports removed the Transit’s hubcaps to reveal the more retro-appropriate steel wheels behind them, but the van’s true cool lies in its new mission: helping Paskowitz shuttle kids to and from a great time at the beach.
