I'm the dummy who couldn't jump start his van and I'm going to wire up some stuff. Scarry, right?
I don't have much of a plan but I thought I would post a few of these things as I go. I don't work too fast because I am lazy and have a propensity for watching tv and sleeping.
I connected to the CCP using #6 wire and crimp terminals. Ground wire went to the place on the floor between the seats. Ccp stud is M5, ground is M6. I used a 50 amp Anderson connector and just used some strain relief at the interior wall. The thinking now is to put in a fuse panel as a connecton point for my stuff (so far: fan, fridge and lights) and connect that to the ccp via the Anderson connector. I want to break that connection and plug in a battery box with a house battery and eventually, a Ctek 250s 12v charger. The plan is to keep the battery removable and be minimally invasive to the van.
The ccp is kinda inconvenient to reach as is the ground point. The thing is, there is a little channel to run the ground wire and thus far, this hook up is likely the most simple of any vehical I have owned.
