Given that non-diesel Transits don't require a DEF tank, I wonder what the bottom door is used for.

I read somewhere it's windshield washer filler.

Probably nothing on gas Transits. I will look at buying the diesel door parts and maybe I can install my shore power electrical reel so the plug is behind the diesel door. That would be neat if it would work.

I believe it's a "dummy" door. Non diesel it's part of the bodyside molding. Just a guess on that

Hopefully, if anyone is testing out a gas version, someone could see if it opens.
