Just got a call that our van that we ordered the 2nd week of May is scheduled to be built the 1st week of December. Hahaha! The dealership says we should get it end of January... I'm going to put my money on mid February!
We ordered the 130" w.b. Mid roof 10 passenger van fully loaded. The dealership said its delayed because of the sound system (we picked the best one). Any who, that's a turn around time of 8-9 months! Glad we aren't desperate for it... YET! :)

We aren't changing the speaker system :). We aren't upset. I knew it would be a super long time even though they told us originally it would be August or September. They also said we have one of the 1st custom ordered wagons. The fact they are doing it in groups of cargo van mid roof long w.b. and then cargo medium and tall roof extra long WB I knew they wouldn't be getting to our custom order for quite some time. We don't really need the van until January and even then our minivan will work fine until we go on a road trip. (I'm having our 5th baby end of December) our oldest is 5

My 5th and 6th kids were just born last week (twins) and now we are scrambling to replace our minivan. If we didn't custom order a Transit, any idea when the first Transit Wagons will hit dealers?

Good question... I'll ask tomorrow at the Ride and Drive event in Dearborn.

All Wagon rear seats are simply locked in place with a quick disconnect. They do not appear to fold forward. See the Owners Manual -

https://owner.ford.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Owner/Page/OwnerGuidePage

Eight seat configurations are 2-3-3 with the second row squished to the driver side allowing access to row 3. The is no access to the van rear from the front side of row three.

Ten seat configurations are 2-3-3-2. The second row is also squished to to driver side allowing access to row 3. Row 3, however, is split with access to row four between the two driver side seats and the single passenger side seat. Row 4 seems to be 2 single seats with space between. The picture below is the best I have found (hope it works!) -

What do you mean the seats are simply locked into place with a quick disconnect???
Also, the 10 passenger is 2-2-3-3 :)

I am very interested in the seating of the Wagon. Fold forward? Ease of Removal? Configurations allowed? Access to the rows? Foot room? Car seat stuff?
I have been trying to find out the same things about the 8 passenger low roof wagons. Different people give different answers.
The owners manual posted online says that only 12 &15 pass. wagons have removable seats. Nothing is said about 8 & 10 pass.
I went to the Ford build & price website a few times and twice I connected with a Ford rep. on live chat. One said NO, they are not removable. On another day with a different rep. I was told that they ALL are removable, regardless of wagon. So which is right?
I have yet to talk to/get a reply from someone who has actually been in a wagon to report what they have seen.

What else is odd is that in that same section in the owners manual just after the lumbar info it says "rear seats" then it has 2 warnings. One of the warnings says "do not place objects on a folded seat as they could become projectiles in a crash blah blah blah". Sounds like maybe the seats fold? But that the removable seats dont fold as it states that in the removable seats section. If the seats fold forward I will 100% be placing luggage and such on them if the don't remove... I will bungee them so in a crash they hopefully don't budge but still. Who would design a van that doesn't have removable seats?! I dont understand the thought process behind that!

The other thing to think about is although is says removable seats 12 & 15 passenger is underneath it states the seats "can weigh up to 137pounds". Why would the seats differ in weight??? I'm thinking maybe the seats in the 8 and 10 are removable but that they explain it in the 12&15 because they are those huge double seats so they are letting them know how to do it correctly. I was told by ford that if you call the dealership with specific questions that the dealership can directly call the factory and get the questions answered. Has anybody done this re: removing the seats of the 10&8 passenger wagons???
