I just discovered that if you want the 12 volt power points activated you not only don't need a key, but there is also no need to open a door. Just flip the visor mirror cover open and not only does the mirror light come on but the power points become hot as well.
No way to open the mirror w/o it lighting, so if stealth is an issue when you or your sig other is feeling vain or has trouble with a lense or just wants to apply sunblock in the dark (you never know!) maybe an aftermarket low tech mirror is the answer.
