We don't need the step yet, but may in the future. I have a bank of drawers under the bed, and a board that fits perfectly on them. All I need is a couple rubber door stops under the bottom drawer because I didn't plan for the extra load on the slides. The drawer requires 28” slides, which would be quite expensive with a heavier load capacity.

Because we are putting a TetraVan shower in our build we decided the ladder option was perfect and got it too. Ladder is solid and light. We plan on just sliding it under the mattress while traveling Or not using it.

I plan too. It is very well built. Going to be nice to have a shower that takes up very little space when not being used. Should be installing it this spring. Still need to figure out my plumbing for the recirculating water part. I want the filters in the back on a mount I can swing out when removing filters to keep from getting water in the van.
