I've been watching the used market pretty closely and its been rather dry...but it looks like that's starting to change. At least in Florida, I'm now seeing large groups of off-lease Transits hitting dealer lots...Enterprise just dumped a bunch of 15-18month old 250's with avg 15k to 22k miles. Wonder why they do this.

But if looking for a low roof wagon, there's lots of available options...250 and 350. If looking for 250 High, enough that they aren't disappearing the minute advertised.

250 high/long...still a rare bird, shoot fast.

350 high/long...more elusive that the Great White Whale himself, despite slightly more sightings than Sasquatch.

Its nice to see prices for all but 350 H/L are settling into a predictable and easy-to-compare range of $20k to $30k. Hopefully the available inventory continues to grow...I hope to be ready in by summer :)

The Rental Transits are the first ones to hit the streets as they have a contract with the manufacturer to turn back between 15,000 to 20,000 miles or 6 month intervals. Most of these will be the low roof vans. In the Lease Transits, they start showing up at 12 and 24 month intervals. The first group of leases started hitting in January with some of the low mileage certified wagons, still pretty much low roof and a few medium roof vans. The T-250 is a van only unit and those will come out in a few rentals and leases, but not many as you have found out. The T-350 High Roof 148" WB & 148 EXT will be really slow to get out in the pre-owned category as not hardly any rentals and the leases tend to be for 24 months or more. Look for those to hit more near the end of the 2016 when the ones bought in 2014 come out of leases.

We just picked one up here in Orlando last week, a 12 passenger wagon. It seems there was a flood of them in December at the auctions and some dealers grabbed up a bunch. When I first had a friend check the auction listings, there were quite a few in the southeast and a few weeks later the supply had dried up for now, so we went ahead and paid the extra at a dealer (Mullinax Kissimmee) because I did not want to wait any more and it was a little nicer than most. http://www.windowsticker.forddirect.com/windowsticker.pdf?vin=1FBZX2YM5FKA55325

We paid just over 50% of original sticker 12 months after it was built and it looks like new. I had to give up on some of the equipment I would have ordered, but I can do a lot of upgrading for the price difference.

You got one of those fleet released Transit Wagons that went through the auction in the last few weeks. Yours came out of Texas
Yes, It was interesting that it came from Texas and was auctioned in North Carolina. There were a lot I looked at that were from right here in Orlando that were auctioned in Texas or North Carolina, then brought back here to Orlando.

They surely move all over the country!

The one I rented here last year had NY plates.

My attorney wanted me to place a current value on mine. I had no clue, and can't really find a EL High Roof Window Cargo pretty much loaded for comparison.
So I took what I paid X-plan after rebates (40K) and knocked off 20% for the one year old 17,000 mile van. $32,000. Sticker including destination was $46.000.
Is that about right??????
Probably very low level of interest from a private party, so wondering what dealer wholesale would be as well.

I went to the wholesale auctions for Manheim and you are about right in your estimate on the value. Not many like yours going through the auction. When they get to retail, they can make a LARGE MARKUP as they know this type of Transit is not out there for sale. To cover yourself, you might go with $35K to $37K as that is about what they are offering one close to yours WITHOUT your upgraded options.

The few retail ones with your mileage are selling at $29,995 to $34,000 with just the base van so you might look at the wholesale value of your added options ($5K??)
