My wife and I just purchased a 148 Med Roof and a Quigley conversion. The van is almost done at Quigley, so I'm looking for a reputable and reasonably-priced car / van hauling transportation company that can get it from Pennsylvania to Colorado so it can start the 2nd portion of its conversion, a pop-top.

Recommendations?

I would have expected Quigley to have the name of a few companies to get it shipped. Did they not?
A dealer in OR shipped it there, and we bought it before it returned to them.

I have an inquiry out with Dave of Quadvan, but while I'm waiting to hear back, so I thought I'd try the expertise here, as well. I was hoping to get a few different inputs.

Have you asked the dealer you bought it from who they would have used ? If drop shipped, can it be diverted to dealer in your area ? Or to dealer in neighboring state that is on the route (since it most likely would have to come close to CO on way to OR anyway unless they shipped it the long way )

Yes. They want $2500. That's why I'm on here looking for recommendations. Does anyone have specific recommendations?

Any transportation company is going to charge from $1.25 to 2.00 per mile to deliver the Transit. You might look at getting on a airplane with the cheap flights out there right now and drive it back. Other than that, look at that $2500 price is a reasonable price for having it shipped. Once you order a MR or HR Quigley conversion, you are responsible for getting it from Quigley to your place.

It is a hard job to find a good transportation service and you have to spend some time to find a good one that will fit all of your needs. I spent a couple of days to find a good service to transport my car from Baltimore to Watsonville. Of course it took me more than a $1000 but it's worth, I think transportation on my own would take a lot more money and time. More than that I was able to track my car over the GPS, grateful they have that option, and at least, but not the last, I ordered and enclosed transportation because I wanted to have my car safe and sound. So, to cut it short, I've found one of the best car shipping companies that I could ever find and you can use their service if you need to, trust me you will surprised

1.25 to 2.00 per mile, is that available for the car transportation or I am missing something?
Is what available? $1.25 to $2.00 per mile is what CrewManVan believes is the going rate for vehicle transport.

Thanks to another lead outside this chatty forum, Leadingautotransport.com was able to arrange the required transport for $1560, or ~$0.95/mile.
