When I get my stealth windowless (service van appearing) transit, I plan to keep it simple. Used to be a winter backpacker. Going to use Sealy fold down couch. Two AGM batteries that come with the van. Steel partition. Coleman oven-stove. Coleman portable sink. Small fold out leg table. Porta pottie. Battery operated fan or two. I like your idea of a 12 volt blanket. I plan on overnites at Native American pow wows. I won't be staying more than one or two nites and travelling 2 to 4 hundred miles unless I get the wanderlust for a farther away pow wow. The Corbin, Ky. pow wow that I just attended was really nice. Good weather too. Still saving my pennies for the van.

so many questions

I'm doing it old school.... I think. If the insurance company requires me to go commercial or RV then I'll have to go ahead and fit the RV sooner than later. I had wanted to travel about with it for several months to see if I really want to live in it and what I wanted, needed and where I wanted to put it... alas...

I ordered windows all around with dark tinting...and will put black out curtains for when I go stealth.... I plan to keep everything below the windows, or above at the ceiling (including the bed---lifted) can't wait to get the real measurements on the 2017 XL HR so I can buy the basics for flooring and ceiling.

I, too, have various containers I can use and will just have to wait to see what works. Perhaps I will begin my own thread in case someone's interested in my journey?

I'm interested in yours.
