Go with the Dual Rear Wheels...delete the aluminum wheels as they are for the SRW
Need to know the weight of the camper trailer to get the correct axle ratio. The 3.31 ratio may not be your best bet........check the towing calculator in the Ford Fleet section. Might need the 3.73 limited slip
Trailer Towing package........not listed

I purchased mine for the same use. You might want to consider some of the following options:
17B fixed sliding door and rear windows.
43R reverse park aid
67D trailer brake controller
68B remote start
85D cargo LED lights
86F two additional keys
92E privacy glass

Electric range would require much larger electrical system. Suggest two burner portable propane stove that allows you to cook outside and provides more inside counter space. A small 600 watt Proctor-Silex (K-Mart) microwave will run on a Magnum 1000 watt inverter.

Me thinks you need to use the 350 dually chassis what with all the weight you'll be adding. It will drive much better than a loaded 250.
All the class B campervan manufacturers learned the hard way about this, and it's why all their offerings are now on the 350 or equivalent chassis.
Also look at that 3.73 ratio for any towing you might be doing

Ok, thanks for all y'alls input. Will seriously consider all suggestions. I just read the build dates which has a start date of late April for a HR long WB van, so I'm leaning toward the many Sprinters available, esp. the 2.1 diesel, 170" WB, 3500(not so plentiful)

I just sold a Sprinter for numerous reasons so would not recommend one. Had it for 6 1/2 years. The 148" WB high roof Transit is being built now. One in stock at local dealer.

You do not need a duel rear wheel van for a conversion. I added 2100 lbs for my Sprinter conversion. I was still about 1000 lbs under the limit. Had no handling problems with the Sprinter.
