Forgive me if this has been covered elsewhere. I have a build date of 02/02/15. Is there a specified time it takes for the van to be delivered to the dealer after it has been built? My dealer says I may see it sometime in Feb. Just curious what others experiences were

I'm sure as you read thru the posts you'll start to get a better ideal of how Ford has kept that a big secret. I really think there is no standard time scale as of yet due to the rail lines or the convoy trucks or just the amount of trucks to be shipped.
I let you know that my build was January 20, it passed inspection on the 24th and has been sitting on a ramp since then. When I get it I'll post that date for reference but there are members who have been waiting much longer after their build then they should. As I said, after you do some reading you'll get a better understanding.

Mike, there are so many variables that no simple answer is possible, as Desi has suggested. You might read the last few pages on each of the top 6-8 topic threads on this sub-forum's list of active topic threads:

In particular check out the "Tracking Build Dates" thread, as well as the "Have Window Sticker" thread.

A couple of important threshold questions -- do you have your VIN, and have you been able to pull up your window sticker online?

Generally the experience has been that most dealers do not give you accurate dates, and that it is preferable to do the research yourself using tools and guidance posted here, with your VIN being the starting point.

Before you can actually see your window sticker, any projected build date is not all that reliable IMO, as Ford does not generate the sticker until the factory has confirmed that its inventory of parts will in fact build your vehicle ASAP. If a part is missing, your Transit gets bumped back down the line . . . (IMO)

Yes I have my VIN and have looked at my window sticker. It shows a build date of 02/02/15. My dealer thinks that it will be there mid-feb. I am not holding my breath

mike, I would suggest that, in the morning, you ask your dealer to email you copies of these two reports which he can generate in his proprietary Oasis computer system, using your VIN:

1. Track a Vehicle -- Full History -- your vehicle's history from order to shipment;
2. Status Report -- the dealer's vehicles on order -- your VIN will be one line item.
