2016 Transit 150 broke down 5 hrs from home. Area dealers said too booked with recalls to see car for 3 days. Called 3 diff dealers with no luck. Got it into a certified mechanic outside of Ford. Replaced Throttle Actuator Motor and was told this is known issue. After a lengthy process on Ford's 800 Complaint line I was told I would be reimbursed. That has not happened and the agent no longer responds to my emails and will not speak with me for an update. Very frustrated that Ford is not addressing this safety issue. Losing power while driving is very dangerous! Any suggestions?

Wow, this is not good!

It's one reason I don't like drive by wire. I encountered a F-250 diesel with a dead throttle control out in the back country. It turned out to be a blown fuse which we found out via the web is a common problem.

I'd like to know the final resolution on this.

I don't think you're going to have any luck with this one. I've never heard of Ford or any other manufacturer reimbursing for repairs completed by anyone other than a dealer. Sounds like you're in a rough situation, how much did it cost to get it back on the road? This is the first I've heard of anyone with a failed throttle body.

I once had a throttle stick wide open on an old Chevy Blazer that had been sitting for a few months. Ended up putting it into neutral and turning the key off, but that was almost a really wild ride. Not saying electronic throttles can't stick, but I've never heard of that happening.
