Gang, I just received some long sought after key parts for my new
2014 Ford Transit T150 camper conversion I am building from an outfit at Transit Accessories. and all items were a perfect fit. The products that I can vouch for and have installed are the swivel seat base, exterior windshield cover and interior windshield heat screen. I am absolutely thrilled :). Hope you all had a great holiday. Ray

Do you have pictures? This sounds suspiciously like an ad for transitaccessories.com. Would love to see the inside of the window covers. Are they reversible?

They look nice, although a bit pricey. Wonder if they will work with the power seats? I doubt it but will send them an email.
Campersunite,
Can you post this in the thread "Parts Needed / Available" also.

Didn't know there were any '14's.
Even if there were, what's "long sought after"mean....maybe a few months?
I am well aware of the pros and cons of outside window covers vs interior versions, and I definitely have a good use for each, but although I've entertained having a set of both I can't say I've ever run into anyone that really ever did it.
Nice to have you on board though, great first post!
Looking forward to hearing a lot more about the trials and tribulations regarding your van here.
Once again WELCOME!

I only need a passenger seat swivel. At those prices I will probably build my own. Should not be very difficult. Need to get the Transit to look at the seat base to determine how to design the swivel. Have a sketch on how to do it. Might even fabricate a new pedestal to retain the stock seat height. Been thinking about how to utilize that wasted space. Will remove the jack (no rear heat option). Maybe a great place for a wine rack with bottles on their side?

Or maybe a Espar Airtronic B1LC Gasoline heater would fit under the passenger seat? I know you're planning a Propex if you go for aux heat, but I'm thinking the B1LC might be a clean installation since the Transit already has a built in aux fuel tap. Curious to see if there's as much room under there as there is in a Sprinter.

JP do you have any experience with the Espar Gas heater? I'm leaning towards propex but mostly because I can find more information and reliable info on it.

Any thoughts on safety, efficiency etc.?

I think both the Propex and the Espar are very safe. There are tons of them in use in all sorts of vehicles. That being said, I don't have experience with either. They both seem to work on similar a principal - intake air and exhaust are both ported to the outside. I have heard some complain about the Espar noise levels, but I've never heard one in person.
I like that the Espar can tap right off the Transit fuel tank. On the other hand, for the price of one of those, you can buy a Propex and an external propane tank. If I decide to go with hot water, I'd probably lean towards the Propex, as I could put a line to the back for an on demand propane shower like one of these: Eccotemp L5 Portable Tankless Water Heater & Flojet 2.9 GPM Water Pump & Flojet Strainer

If I end up installing a Propex, it would be the version that is designed to be mounted under the floor. I will save the space under the van on right side in front of the rear axle for the heater. I am expecting the remote start and 12 volt heating pad will work so I will not need an additional heater.

Yeah....that's about $100 more than the ones for the Promaster on Eurocampers.com. How long do we wait for the prices to come down and availability to go up?
I am sure we will have multiple choices and lower prices. I did look at the seat location. Seats do have space between the seat and the doors for clearance when rotating the seat. I have a lot of conversion work to do before I will need the swivel so will wait to see what is available or I will make my own..
