Hello all, I recently purchased a truck mainly to take my bikes to and from the track, and realized this was just not enough. I decided I was going to buy a trailer for my truck, but after a lot of thought I realized I should just buy a Van. The 3 I have been considering are the Sprinter, Promaster, and the Transit. I decided I wanted the transit because I am a ford fan, and because they have the tallest van which is important to me. I can load multiple bikes into the van, all my track gear, and also sleep in the van. It's great. I am definitely getting the longest and tallest transit, the only thing I am hung up on is motor. I am undecided between the Ecoboost, regular V6, and the diesel.

A lot depends on how much you will be driving the Transit and how much total weight you will be towing. Sometimes it is just a preference on what type of performance you like in a vehicle.

If you are close to a Ford dealer that has a fleet of High Roof Transits, you might stop in and drive some to get a feel of each one and which one best suits your needs.
