From my understanding the brackets are interchangeable. I believe it would be dependent on your seat configuration if you intend to by both the three seater and single seat. If you just want to purchase the single seat, it should not be an issue. You would have to confirm for sure.

The 2016 single seat would be a bolt-in seat whereas the 2019 seat has the quick release handles. To make the 2019 seat work in the 2016 model, you would have to change out the floor mounting brackets to the later ones with the quick release striker bars.
