Has anyone else noticed this difference?

The passenger seats in the XLT wagon (except the last row) have the recline feature. The passenger seats in the XL wagon do not recline.

Due to business considerations, I recently upgraded from a 12 pax XLT wagon (HR, LWB, SRW) to a 15 pax XL wagon (HR, EL, DRW). Most of the differences between the XL & XLT are appearance, but a few nice to have features - lighted mirror on sun visor & separate driver & co-pilot reading lights alongside the dome light up front - are missing.

What I wanted most was the reclining pax seats to make their ride a bit more comfortable. The dealer was unwilling/unable to swap the seats citing DOT regs as the reason.

Anyone know how to get/swap non-reclining pax seats for reclines ones?

Probably have to find someone going to custom seating for the front seats or locate a wrecked Transit Wagon with the seats you want. Charcoal cloth should not be too hard to find for the seats behind the passenger area if someone gets a 15 passenger wagon and decides to remove them for a conversion.

Just keep checking eBay, craigslist, and LKQ for seats that might show up for sale.

I purchased a new 2015 350HD XLT passenger wagon, 15 seats, last. I have not checked to see which are recline or stationary. I am converting to full RV and won't be needing any seats. I have not placed any value on them yet. I won't tradebut I will sell them 50% off retail list, whatever that $ is. I know that won't help you much. If I were you I would hold off for a trade if that is possible, But wondering why someone would trade a recliner for non-recliner. Love my new Transit, easier than a Sprinter to drive. My issue is with the MyTouch upgrade. I thought I had bought a CD player, until I could not find it! Only to find out they delete the CD player when you pay $1600 for upgrade to MyTouch! Go figure?
