Seat Movement in Van

From other posts, it seems as if the tracks for the seat mounts run the entire length of the floor but I have not see a clear answer to are the seats are interchangeable. Someone did post that the single jump seat cannot go anywhere else. Is this correct? Can the other seats be moved to different slots? I really only need 1 back seat but would love to have some flexibility.

Yes, this has been discussed all over.

This site's search function works very well, so if you put your search terms in one of the boxes at the top right near "SEARCH" you will usually get good results.

"jump seat remove"yielded a few good results.

Ditto for "bench seat remove."

dado6 posted photos and comments about seating in his new Wagon, but has gone silent for some reason. See this and later posts and discussions:

Thanks PeterR. I went back and reviewed dado6 post with the floor picture and compared it with the seat pictures in the brochure. It looks as if the double seat should be able to go in the very back where the triple seat fits. Has anyone tried this?
The bench seat that sits over the wheel well has to stay in that position and the three person seat can only fit in the front. But the second row bench will go in the front or the far back. I have done this so it's not theory.
And the seat rails do not run the length of the floor.
PeterR,

dado6 is probably out enjoying his Transit too much to have time to keep up on the forum. All his questions were answered when he picked up the keys:)

I was right and wrong. Some of the rails go the full length and some do not. Also after looking at some other pictures, wagons with lesser seating that 15 passenger apparently don't bolt sideways over the wheel well.

Wrong again. I just got some parts pictures from Ford and they show that the rails do not run the full length of the van, but are broken up into smaller pieces.

I have part numbers for some of the seat rails, but they are not available. In fact The Google doesn't even bring up anything.
