the stock transit seats aren't height adjustable. (that is, unless we totally missed some hidden lever.)

does anyone have the 10-way power seat, and can you confirm that it can be lowered further than the fixed height of the standard seat? my better half is only 5'1", and with the standard seats we'd have to raise the floor to support her right heel while driving.

my wife and i have test driven manual seat transits previously, and she (at 5'1") was very uncomfortable -- she couldn't get her right heel on the floor while using the accelerator. we assumed we'd have to install a pad of some sort to raise the floor level.

well, today we test drove one more, this time with power seats. turns you they do seem to go a bit lower -- her heel was firmly on the floor in the lowest position, and even with it raised a bit.

so that's great, but it actually turns out that seat height isn't the whole fit issue. now, with the seat so far down, it seems that the wheel doesn't quite tilt far enough, so it's higher than she'd like.

that being said, it means we'll likely look for a van with power seats. (the one we found today is perfect... except that it's a diesel. not a total deal breaker, but also definitely not our first choice.)
