Howdy,

We just picked up a 2021 AWD, 148wb, medium roof, crew, EcoBoost van. We're told that's a rare one...

We'll be building it up for family adventures in the west. Not quite overlanding, but we'll be going on dirt roads for sure.

Pretty stoked! I'll be posting questions, lurking and searching for info here.

Congrats! And welcome!
Pickup 2023 Transit 250 Crew Mid Roof, 148 as well on Monday this week.

Yep; planning/working to build it up; step by step; not in a rush.

Yes; please post challenges, issues, successes etc...; will do the same here as well (once I am allowed to post things).

Now, looking for "carpet"/"liners" for both the front and 2nd. row seatings; I do have Vinyl floors + Heavy duty floor at the back.

Thanks,
Lee

The best ride for family adventures! Congrats!
Anyone knows what is the recommended carpet/liner for the Crew van 2nd. row seating ?

I have a vinyl floor.

Thanks,
Lee

We scored almost the exact same rig lightly used, 2021 AWD 350 148wb, medium roof, crew, EcoBoost. The local builder that helped us with interior DIY panels said it's a super rare combo, and was their first time designing for the specific configuration. Enjoy!

What tire size and suspension did you go with?

Previous owner did a 2" lift, we ended up with a K02 LT245/75 R16, if I recall correctly. They've done great so far, no favors on the MPGs but for forest roads and more impressively ice/snow driving, I've appreciated how versatile they are.

From what I can tell there was definitely a bit of trimming around the front wheel wells to make it all fit, but nothing too wild.

Did you recalibrate the speedometer? If not, that will throw off the calculation for mileage. It might not be as bad as you think.

That is a great point! I'll double check with my seller

You can also download a speedometer app for your phone and test it that way. The difference is a percentage so it'll increase as you go faster. If it's off by 3 - 5 mph at 70 then it'll make a big difference in mileage. This is based on my experience with my Tacoma.
