Regarding passenger wagons:

Questions

1. What tool do you need to unscrew bolts on the floor of the seats?

2. Can you install quick release latch on none movable seats?

3. Is it possible to install seat facing backward?

All of the passenger seats remove very easily. You can use a screw driver or hook tool to release the latch. The latch is the same on all the seats. It is only the rear row that have handles attached to that latches. I am not sure if the handles are available, but the seat removal is extremely easy. My experience with the brackets is that the seats cannot be rear facing.

Hi hawkeng,
i just got my ford transit today. Its a 150 passenger, seats 8. Tried to get the seats out today but it appears that the seats are not singled- looks like a 3 seater bench fused together in both rows at the back. I expected that the row right behind front seats will not have latches to remove seats but also not sure how you would get this out with only a screwdriver.. Any advice would be awesome how you can get the seats easy removed. I was alone today so didn't wanted to mess with it too much and break out my back trying to lift out an entire bench. Thank you

You poke the screwdriver down into the slot and lift up the latch (look at how the ones with the handle work). It helps to have two screwdrivers, leave one holding up one latch as you work on the other. The benches are very heavy, two person job.

I don't believe the latch handles are available to install, and the seats cannot be installed backwards.

I am curious too...

That's why I was asking about my original questions.
torokun,

If you type "removing seats" into the search box, above right) it will take you to the threads that have answered this, some with pictures.

I did search for it but at a quick glance didn't find a relevant link.

I never have luck with forum search slot anyway so maybe I grew to not pay too much attention to it...

Anyways. I was able to dig up. Thank you for the info!

torokun,

If you just glance at things, you most likely won't find the answer for questions you ask.

Go to the Thread "Rear Seating", post # 95. It has a picture by member brianvanhouton, of how to take the seats out with screwdrivers. Also the Thread, "Passenger seat removal" has info and a pic by whitedog.
