Thinking about a stereo install next, what is the procedure for removal of the A-pillars and center console? Looks like the outboard cup holders may be holding the A-pillars in, hoping to not do a full dash dismantle. Any troublesome clips to worry about on either procedure? I hate breaking those things or the panel, which seems to happen with regularity for me.

While we're at it, what's a good route for audio wiring from the center of the dash to the driver's side lower wall where I'm going to put my power amp? I'm think through the headliner (which is presently open) up the A-pillar.

Won't removing the a-pillars make it hard to keep the windshield from falling off?

The "A" pillars contain a lot of crucial wiring along with air bags, be careful when removing or adding anything to them.

Warning noted, thanks. Obviously, folks have been installing after-market tweeters in those positions, are they simply not removing the A-pillar TRIM.

Thanks for the laugh Skag.

Tweeters in the doors or on top of them would be more effective and much easier to install since the factory speaker wires are already in there.

You can run audio and remote turn on across the underside of the dash then down the side under the flooring.

The overhead liner has orange pop tabs that hold it up. They will come out but they are glued to the headliner. That glue is stronger than the foam board it's attached to. Be careful with those clips.

I am told you don't have to drop the headliner to get at the tweeters, it looks to me like the driver's side just pops off, the passenger you need to remove the grab bar first.
