I'm trying to remediate wind noise in our Low Roof 2018 Transit converted passenger van. Above 60mph, the vast majority of the significant noise in the van is wind seeping in from the interface between the passenger and driver side doors and the van body (insufficient gasket/weatherstripping). I'd really like to eliminate this noise (so I don't have to scream to talk to my kids in the back seats) and have searched the forum for methods people have used in other general "wind" related posts. I have seen that many others have this issue, but have not found anything technically specific in how do deal with it -double gaskets have been mentioned (do you order duplicate gaskets and mount them inside of the others?), shoring up the existing gasket with a small tube bracing one side (photos?). If anyone has photos of solutions for this issue, specific products you have you have used to solve this, or more technically specific instructions, please let us know!
Thanks!!

The only time I hear wind noise in mine is when I open a window, It is loud around the back doors.
Shutting the window does not stop the noise, I only stops when the van comes to a complete stop.
I have kept the windows shut while driving every since and I have not heard any wind noise in the last four years.

Check where the widest gaps are with the door closed, and adjust the hinges to press the door tighter there. bitburger's solution above would probably be easier, though!

Or:
Exit via the slider and put duct tape over all the front door seams. Return via slider.

We were driving through Utah last winter with a 30-40 mph crosswind that pulled the top of the front passenger door out about 1/2 inch. So loud we couldn't even talk! Stopped at a rest area and my wife used the Surly method and duct taped the door shut. Not pretty but it worked for the day.

did it work?
It worked extremely well. Huge improvement for modest bucks.

Sound was dramatically reduced across all speeds. The crosswind whistle is gone. I initially did the two front doors.
After I heard the reduction, I ordered another pack and did the rear and slider.

Those doors were somewhat more problematic to close and my wife occasionally curses me and the new door insulation because it takes several tries to close the door. Also, because they are further from the front, the noise reduction is less.

I used this insulation off Amazon. $17.

More pics in my build but it's pretty self explanatory.

I bought this from Amazon and it arrived quickly and installed easily. It is slightly smaller that the factory insulation on the body of the car. I installed it on the door and I will include pics from my phone on the next post.
Thanks for your recommendation. I used this on the drivers door as a test. An initial short run on the highway seems to show significant reduction in noise.

Just ordered some. Mine has the same problem with the whistling. Had the weather sealing redone semi-recently and it still whistles.

Out here in the desert the wind is almost always roaring. I have to crack one of the front windows to get the whistling to stop. Looking forward to the quiet!

Update:

I added the above linked Amazon weather stripping. Door has a hard time shutting. Once shut it is much quieter inside other than the extra noise of the chopped exhaust.

I'll try it on the highway tomorrow. Did get it up to 60mph and definitely cuts the outside noise nicely.

A few hot desert summer days should flatten it out some and help with door shutting.

I did the extra Amazon seal to double up my doors. I installed the new seal to come in direct contact with the factory seal. Definitely no wind coming thru now but it takes a very firm shut to get the door all the way closed. I mainly did my doors because the slider just never closed as tight as I would like. Now it’s totally sealed and very quiet.
