Ford today announced two safety recalls today. The first one is for "2013-15 Ford Taurus, Ford Flex, Lincoln MKS and Lincoln MKT vehicles with 3.5-liter gasoline turbocharged direct injection engines, as well as Ford Police Interceptor sedans to replace fuel pump control modules."

See https://media.ford.com/content/ford...ecalls-and-one-safety-compliance-recall-.html

The Transit isn't listed on this one, and my 3.5L VIN didn't pull up anything, but:

* is this the same or similar 3.5L EcoBoost engine as in Transits?

Note that others on this forum have reported problems with stalling etc due to bad throttle control module failures:

I'll post a separate thread about the second recall for some diesel Transits.

Thoughts?

They got a bad batch of modules and traced them to the listed vehicles/production dates. Not surprising all 3.5 EBs are not affected. F150 is not on the list either. It looks like all the bad ones went to the Chicago and Oakville plants. Nothing to see here...

Mine went bad yesterday too. I have a Ford Transit 250 with gas. Sounds like Ford needs to extend the recall to non-diesel Ford Transit versions as well...
