this is common

Its interesting that they have announced the recall but you can't take it in for a month and a half, on March 16th? Is that common?
I had a similar issue with my '13 Ford Fusion (company car). There was a recall on the airbag, but none of the dealerships had the part(s) to fix it. By the time they were able to fix it, I was a few months away from trading it in for my next company vehicle.

While I'm excited about my transit and I'm certain it was the best vehicle for my family, these types of issues aren't things I really worried about with my Honda or Toyota.

I can wait until they get their ducks in a row, yet find it interesting that there are 3 Field Service Actions (airbox, seatbelts, airbags) out for my vehicle but no actions available to the field service departments yet. I trust that there are some Ford engineers and executives scrambling to get r done asap before they look too bad for dragging their feet, especially since 2 out of 3 have safety liability implications.

Because of that, it appears that Enterprise (and probably others) has pulled their Transit wagons from the fleet for now, and I'm sure there is pressure to get them back into service.

In the ongoing saga of dealers not choosing to be fully informed about Transits, I was the one who had to tell the service department about all 3 recalls and before they begrudgingly verified, only after making me out to be a customer who didn't know what they were talking about.
