I have some Ford Transits as rental vehicles at my U-Haul dealership and just had a customer bring one back saying the rearview mirror was loose. After I got the plastic piece behind the mirror off, I see the mirror bracket has come completely off the piece that is glued (?) to the windshield. I can see how the metal clip clips on to it, but I can't get it to attach. There is a small slot on one side which I tried to pry the clip back slightly to allow the mirror bracket to slide on, but couldn't really get that to work either. Is their a special tool or trick I am missing?

You place it over the part that's glued to the windshield diagonally, then twist it so it locks into place in the correct orientation. It took quite a bit of force to get it to twist into place for me, I was afraid I was going to break it..

According to the Helm manual there are 6 different mirror attachment styles. Post an image. I might have a diagram that will help.
