I recently purchased a 2016 Ford Transit 350. When I push the lock button (once or twice) on the remote, the rear doors do not end up locked. The front and sides do, but not the back. I asked the previous owner and she said there was a setting in the options, but when I look into it, all i see is single button vs. double clicking. Any thoughts or things I can check?

Does it UNlock?

There may well be dirty connections on the sensor in the door that tells if it is shut or not. Or damaged cords going into the door (passenger side, I think), Maybe even disconnected wires AT the mechanism, from slamming jarring them loose.

I doubt it's the fob itself, but one test would be to try to lock the doors with the buttons on the front doors and see if THAT works. If it does, then it's the fob.

It stays unlocked all the time. You're right, I don't think it's the keyfob. It doesn't work with the buttons up front either. I can hear the actuator in the back door TRYING to do something, but the door is still unlocked when you pull the handle...

MAybe it has become misaligned. My old Sprinter slider did that; it took too much force for the actuator to move the misaligned components so it gave up and went home. You're going to need to remove the rear door panel and take a look at it "trying" to latch.
