I am leaning toward giving back some of the money I "saved" by ordering rear door glass with defrost elements. I wonder if the northern climate and that feature being absent was why my van sat on the lot all year. I am wondering first:
1. The stick-on aftermarket kits seem to have hundreds of U-Tube links of how to repair broken connections (zero on installing them) so are there any other solutions other than factory glass replacements?
2. If it is not a straight forward swap out, I would probably have my auto glass company come out and do the replacement work, but at what stage can I this turn into a DIY project, do I have to prewire into the window jams or can the connection be performed after the installer has left? (I haven't gone out to a dealer lot and found one to look at).
