Because some of us want a place to hang out un-moderated for the most part.
Not to be confused with Sprinter_Source "The Danger Zone" though.

I'm leaving for FL four weeks from yesterday and have a busy schedule 'til then.
Today I'll look for some temporary shelves and cabinets/bins to help me use the space during the trip. Never know though, I stuck with all the temporary stuff in the Sprinter because it was so light and simple and worked so well. Even my tall cardboard box lasted five years!

I use the big plastic bins from like Homedepo, they are waterproof, get the lid also, can stack to the roof and lets me organize to some degree the stuff, look at the straps.
Can I (we) get some raw pictures of your interior (cargo) and ty-down hooks?

Saw your van photo in the other thread. Great...

Looks like windows all around. Must feel really spacious inside with the outside coming in? That's what I'm going for and will be ordering, but have yet to be in a cargo van Transit with window all around...

Here's one from the driveway. I'm going to film tint the front sides at 28% same as I did the Sprinter.

Sam is 5'7" and wearing thick soled winter boots. Plenty of headroom in the high roof!

is that a keyless entry pad? so you CAN lock your keys in the van?

What does he (Sam) think of it?, or others (your family, who lived in the Sprinter) now that you have it

Or any comments from others who have seen it? (I like it, looks like a production version of the "Skyliner" show Transit

Rockets are cool, Danger Zone is a whole different thing.
Our whole family and a bunch of friends got involved with high power rocketry back in the 90's. Also have seen several launches of all kinds including a few shuttles from Port Canaveral.
Never had keyless entry before, didn't realize it's just a stick on transmitter. When the battery dies you peel the whole thing off with a knife and stick on a replacement.
So far everybody loves the newest member of the family, gotta name 'er eventually.

Wonder if the 45 degree angle was because they ran out of hydraulic fluid couple hundred feet above the landing zone?

The manual said it was a lifetime fill :)

Yep, I've got that option and it works great. Back lit for nighttime as well. The cool thing is it's a cheap Ford accessory if you didn't get it when you ordered. It's just an adhesive backed radio transmitter that you program with your key code. I think it's about $85.
To lock the van you just push the two numbers on the right side, which for me is actually faster than fumbling with the button on the key.

Quality control at Ford! My van is at the dealer so I spent another couple of hours in it reading the owners manual, playing with the controls and measuring. Got out and was looking at the outside and compared my headlight enclosure (standard black grill and inside headlight is black) to the van parked next to it with the exterior upgrade package which includes the chrome grill and chrome housing around the lights behind the plastic cover. Looked at mine and looked at the other van and could not see any difference. I thought the other van light looked just like mine and was surprised they were the same. Took a couple steps back and looked at the other van. Right headlight has chrome inside the housing and left did not. They had put in the wrong headlight on the left side.

Remember when we all agreed that the Sprinter was the best looking, the Promaster the ugliest, and the Transit somewhere in between?
I texted my son presently in MN the Transit pics, and he said that it looked pretty much like our Sprinter except with a way cooler grill!
Stuff does grow on you eventually I guess.

Remember this was July 1969, I was 11 years old and it was my fathers plan to be there on a family vacation to Ft. Lauderdale. Been exposed to some pretty major things because of him. Thanks Dad!
