Today was the big day, i picked up a loaded van in Oregon and drove it home to the bay area. Will be converting this to a DIY camper.
More details as I proceed, just drove 600 miles, love the van, drives like it's on rails, very little roll, observed 85db (noise levels) in the driver position, ok, but will be much better with a little work.
I did find a sales manager who specs vans for conversion market, had everything i wanted, gave me a fair price. Check out Newberg Ford in Oregon if you are like me and cannot wait 4 months for a special order, ask for Dale.
I have to say it again, drives like a dream.
