Spare parts

I picked up a diesel transit and am curious what things people would advise to have on hand for long trips away from dealers. I have little experience with diesels aside from work. At work we carry a few sensors that are known to go bad with the year of diesel that we run. Any ideas what might be worthwhile on this diesel?
